BEST DIRECTOR

Quentin Tarantino's film Inglourious Basterds scored him some attention from the Academy. The filmmaker is up for this prize for the second time -- in 1994, he was nominated for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay for Pulp Fiction, but he only won the former.
