Get a First Glimpse of Quentin Tarantino's 'Hateful Eight'
The 'Django Unchained' director returns to the western with some familiar faces.
EW released its new cover today and Quentin Tarantino fans can rejoice: the writer/director's new film, The Hateful Eight, is the focus. We've known for a while it would be another western, like Django Unchained, and the plot would focus on a group of eight outlaws and gunmen who wait out a blizzard together at a stagecoach stop. The cover features Samuel L. Jackson, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Kurt Russell in full costume.
The grouping of suspect strangers with their own agendas reminds us of Reservoir Dogs, so it'll be fun to see if Tarantino is making a similar movie. “For me it has more of a Western Iceman Cometh kind of vibe about it. A bunch of guys in a room who can’t trust each other. That wasn’t a marching order when I sat down to write the script, but pretty quickly I realized this is kind of a nice coming-full-circle.” Says the director in the article.
Head over to EW for much more, but first, the cover:
Jackson, Leigh, and Russell don't appear to be fooling around. This should be one violent, hilarious ride, as usual with Tarantino. And Russell loves his beard so much he's been sporting it everywhere:
The Hateful Eight doesn't have an exact release date yet, but is scheduled for sometime in the Fall, 2015.
